Space to Actually Live In: More room than you’d expect, and more drama than you’d imagine. At 1,600 square feet with 28-foot soaring ceilings, it’s one of the most extraordinary loft homes at Canco Lofts, carved from the bones of the original American Can Company factory in the heart of Jersey City. Those ceilings change everything. At 28 feet, they’re not just tall… they’re architectural. The kind that make you stop at the door the first time you walk in, and still catch your eye years later. Combined with oversized factory windows flooding the space with natural light, the living and dining area feels genuinely expansive in a way that square footage alone can’t convey. The den is the difference-maker here. Positioned at the entry, it functions beautifully as an oversized mudroom, a true transition space where coats, bags, and gear have a home before you ever reach the living area, and/or use it as home office. It’s the kind of flexibility that standard two-bedrooms simply doesn’t offer. Hardwood floors run throughout, and central AC, heat, and in-unit washer/dryer cover all the essentials. The kitchen is functional and move-in ready; when you’re ready to put your stamp on it, the bones are there. The building delivers on every front. Over 10,000 square feet of amenities include a 4,000 sq ft gym with Pelotons and a dedicated yoga studio, a basketball court, screening room, children’s playroom, sundeck, and dog park. A 24-hour doorman and weekday PATH shuttle keep daily life running smoothly. Optional garage parking and a nearby pool (fee applies) round out the package. Journal Square PATH is blocks away. MANA Contemporary is next door.
